The Mediterranean island of Corsica has been given national recognition and registered on Unesco's world heritage list due to its conservation areas and nature reserves. Corsica remains for the most part a protected island.
Five nature reserves protect some unique flora and fauna with the Cerbicale Isles that provide a sanctuary for a numerous number of birds and fish.
Of course, the beautiful coastlines of Corsica are a must for the tourist to explore in the Summer months. However, the Spring is a particularly delightful season when you will see everything in bloom and Autumn displays the chestnut harvest which is celebrated in the hilltop villages: thus making Corsica a delight to explore whatever the season.
